The Roof Wash Estimator prices soft wash jobs by roof area, pitch, and chemical tier. It calculates how much mix you need and what the job costs you, then inserts a line item into your estimate at cost — your markup handles the client price.

Enter roof details #
In Roof Details, enter the Roof Area in square feet. On Premium, tap the orange map icon to measure the roof footprint from satellite using the Map Measurement Tool — the result pre-fills the field.
Select the pitch from the Pitch picker: Low (< 4/12), Medium (4–8/12), or Steep (> 8/12). Pitch adjusts the chemical application rate — steeper roofs need more mix per square foot due to runoff. Then pick the chemical tier based on what you’re treating: Light Algae, Standard Buildup, or Heavy / Black Streaks. The tier drives how many gallons per 100 sq ft the calculator uses.
Apply a risk premium #
In Risk Premium, toggle on the +20% surcharge when the job has complicating factors: steep access, complex gutter lines, or elevated liability exposure. The toggle label describes exactly when to use it: “+20% for steep access, complex gutter lines, or liability exposure.” This applies to both labor and chemical cost.
Set your costs and read results #
In Your Costs, confirm your production rate in sq ft per hour, your chemical cost per gallon, and your markup percentage. Tap Set Default next to Production Rate to save it for future jobs. Set your crew size and toggle Owner / Operator if applicable.
Job Scope shows total roof area and chemical needed (gallons, plus gallons per 100 sq ft for reference). What This Job Costs You breaks out labor and chemical. Charge Preview shows your estimated client price at the markup you entered — the footer confirms it’s a preview only.
Insert into the estimate #
Tap Insert into Estimate. The item is added as “Roof Soft Wash — [sq ft]” with a “Roof Wash Crew” labor phase. Chemical defaults to “Roof Mix” unless you’ve selected a named chemical from your library.
