Connect Stripe and Send Your First Invoice

Who this is for: Managers  |  Series: Invoicing and Stripe Payments โ€” Part 1 of 2

๐Ÿ“‹ Invoicing and Stripe Payments

Step 1 โ€” Connect your Stripe account #

Open Settings and tap Enable Payments. The payment setup screen explains how the integration works and shows the processing fee: 3.15% + $0.30 per transaction. Funds deposit directly to your bank โ€” PriceRight Pro never holds your money.

Tap Connect Stripe Account. Stripe’s onboarding opens in Safari โ€” sign in to an existing Stripe account or create a new one, then complete the identity and banking steps. When you’re done, close Safari. The app automatically detects that onboarding is complete and returns you to the app with payments enabled.

โ„น๏ธ Note: By connecting, you agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement. Refunds are managed through your Stripe dashboard at dashboard.stripe.com, not from within PriceRight Pro.

Step 2 โ€” Create your first invoice #

Open a saved job and tap the Invoices tab. If no invoices exist, the empty state reads: “No Invoices Yet โ€” Tap + to create an invoice from this job’s estimate.” Tap + in the top-right corner, or tap the Create Invoice button on screen. The invoice is promoted from your estimate โ€” line items, client name, and job totals come across automatically.

Step 3 โ€” Review and edit the invoice #

The invoice editor opens. Work through each section:

  • Document โ€” choose the document type: Invoice, Deposit Invoice, Progress Invoice, or Final Invoice. The status badge and invoice number are shown here (read-only)
  • Client โ€” Name, Email, Phone, and Address pulled from the job. Edit directly if needed for this invoice
  • Dates โ€” Issue Date defaults to today. Tap Add Due Date to set a payment deadline, or Remove Due Date to clear it. Overdue invoices are flagged automatically
  • Line Items โ€” the estimate line items, shown read-only
  • Summary โ€” shows Subtotal, Discount (if any), Tax (labeled “Tax (X.X%)” when set), Total, and Amount Due in your accent color. Amount Due is what you’re requesting on this invoice โ€” it can be a partial amount (e.g., a deposit) rather than the full total
  • Notes โ€” any message to include below the line items on the PDF
  • Terms & Conditions โ€” leave blank to use your account default terms, or type custom terms for this invoice only. Tap Reset to Default to restore the account default
  • Review Request โ€” toggle Include review QR on PDF to add a scannable QR code and link to your review page at the bottom of the invoice PDF. Choose the platform: Google, Facebook, or Yelp. Review links are configured in Settings โ†’ Review Links

Tap Save when ready.

Step 4 โ€” Send the invoice #

From the invoice editor toolbar, tap the actions menu and select Send via Email. The app generates the PDF and opens the email composer pre-filled with the client’s email address, a subject line, and a default message. Attach and send โ€” the invoice status updates to Sent automatically.

From the invoice list, swipe right on any invoice row to reveal the Send button โ€” a faster path when you need to resend or send without opening the editor.

To export the PDF without emailing, tap Export PDF from the actions menu and use the standard iOS share sheet.

Managing invoices in the list #

The Invoices tab shows a summary header with three figures โ€” Invoiced, Paid, and Remaining โ€” so you can see the payment status of the whole job at a glance. Each invoice row shows the invoice number, document type, client name, issue and due dates, amount, and a status badge (Draft / Sent / Paid / Overdue / Void).

To delete a Draft or Void invoice, swipe left on the row. Sent and Paid invoices cannot be deleted โ€” use Void Invoice from the editor’s actions menu to cancel them.

โœ… Next step

Once the invoice is sent, record payments as they come in โ€” partial deposits, milestone payments, and final balances.
