Marketing estimates separate five service categories โ€” strategy, content, paid media, reporting, and outsourced work โ€” each independently priced. Most marketing engagements don’t use all five. Strategy & Consulting #

The Strategy & Consulting section covers planning, discovery, audits, and advisory work. Tap Scope in the SmartScope strip to scope strategy deliverables by type and hours. Each row resets independently โ€” tap the reset button (destructive) to clear the section if the scope changes.


Content Production #

The Content Production section covers blog posts, videos, social assets, email copy, or any content deliverable. Tap Content in the SmartScope strip โ€” a picker lets you choose the content type to scope. Each content type has its own calculator with volume, complexity, and rate inputs.


Paid Media & Ad Spend #

The Paid Media & Ad Spend section handles paid channel costs โ€” management fees, ad spend pass-through, or platform fees. Tap Ad Spend in the SmartScope strip to open the ad spend calculator โ€” select the platform type to scope the right fee structure.


Reporting & Analytics #

The Reporting & Analytics section covers dashboard setup, monthly reporting, attribution work, or data analysis. Price reporting as its own line item โ€” it’s frequently underpriced when bundled into the retainer scope without being explicitly listed.


Outsourced / Subcontracted #

The Outsourced / Subcontracted section is for work you’re passing to freelancers, contractors, or agencies โ€” PR firms, video production houses, media buyers, SEO specialists. Price the pass-through cost and apply your coordination markup here rather than baking it into a category where it’s invisible.


SmartScope tools #

Five SmartScope calculators are available in the strip at the top of the estimate: Retainer (monthly retainer builder), Content (content type picker), Ad Spend (paid media scoper), SEO, and Email. Each opens a dedicated calculator that inserts its output into the relevant section. Use as many as the project requires.
