How to Clock In and Out as a Crew Member (App)

Step 1 β€” Open your crew portal #

Your manager sends you a crew link. Tap it on your iPhone. The first time you open it, the app connects to your crew account and sets things up β€” you’ll see “Connecting…” for a moment.

Once connected, the screen shows your name: “Hi [your name] πŸ‘‹”. That means you’re in. After the first time, you can go back to your crew portal from the home screen β€” tap your name or the crew switcher to return without tapping the link again.


Step 2 β€” Clock in #

At the top of the screen is a TODAY section. If you’re not clocked in, you’ll see a green Clock In button. Tap it.

The button label changes to “Clocking in…” for a second while it connects. When it’s done, the button is replaced by a green dot, the words On the Clock, and a live timer showing how long you’ve been working. Your manager can see you’re clocked in right away.

Clock in from a specific job. If you see your jobs listed under MY JOBS, tap the job you’re working on today to open it. Then tap Clock In for This Job β€” your hours get linked to that job automatically.


Step 3 β€” During your shift #

While you’re clocked in, the TODAY section shows the running timer. You can close the app β€” your shift stays open. Come back whenever you’re ready to clock out.

If your manager has shared job details with you, tap any job under MY JOBS to see the address, schedule, crew notes, tasks, and anything else they’ve posted for the job.

Inside a job you may be able to β€” depending on what your manager has set up:

  • Tap a task to mark it complete (a teal checkmark appears)
  • Tap Take Photo to upload a job site photo
  • Tap Get Directions in the Schedule section to open Maps
  • Type a note and tap Post Note to leave a message for your manager

Step 4 β€” Clock out #

When you’re done for the day, go back to the TODAY section on the main screen. Tap the red Clock Out button. The label changes to “Clocking out…” while it saves. Your shift is recorded and your manager will see your hours.


View your hours #

Scroll down to the MY HOURS section to see your recent shifts β€” each one shows the job name, how long you worked, and the date you clocked in. Pull down to refresh and see the latest entries.


If your clock time is wrong β€” request an edit #

If you clocked in or out at the wrong time, you can request a correction. In the MY HOURS section, find the shift entry and swipe left on it. Tap Request Edit. Enter the correct time and a short note explaining what happened, then submit. Your manager will review and approve or deny the request.

If a request is already pending on an entry, the swipe option won’t show β€” wait for your manager to respond before submitting another.


Common issues #

  • “Couldn’t Connect” β€” check your internet connection. Tap Go Back and try again when you have signal
  • “Access Removed” β€” your manager has revoked your link. Contact them for a new one
  • Clock In button shows an error β€” a small red message appears below the button. Check your connection and try again. If it keeps happening, contact your manager
  • No jobs showing under MY JOBS β€” your manager hasn’t published a job to your portal yet, or the viewSchedule permission isn’t enabled for your account
