Assign commission on an imported job #

Open any job that was imported from a field estimate. In the job detail view, scroll to the Field Commission section (marked with a banknote icon). Tap the row to expand it.

Three fields appear:

  • Assigned Field Worker โ€” pick the field user who earned this commission from the list of active field users. If no one is assigned yet, the picker shows “None assigned”
  • Commission Basis โ€” choose whether commission is calculated on gross revenue or gross net profit
  • Rate โ€” enter the commission percentage. A preview line below the field shows the estimated payout: “Est. payout: $X.XX on [basis]” so you can verify the number before closing

Changes save automatically as you set each field. The collapsed section summary updates to show “Pending” once a worker is assigned and a rate is set.

Mark Commission Closed #

โš ๏ธ This action is irreversible. Marking commission closed locks the payout amount permanently based on the estimate total at that moment. It cannot be undone. Only mark closed when you’re ready to pay out and are certain the job total is final.

Once a field worker is assigned and a rate is entered, the Mark Commission Closed button appears (orange, with a lock icon). Tap it and confirm. The commission record locks immediately โ€” the payout is calculated and frozen based on the current estimate total.

After closing, the commission section switches to a read-only view showing: Worker, Basis, Rate, Locked Payout (the dollar amount in green), and the date it was closed. A “Closed [date]” badge confirms the status. The field user sees this payout in their Commission Tracker on their device on their next sync โ€” if the Commission Tracker toggle is enabled for their code.

Lead Ownership โ€” assign a rep to a prospect #

Open a prospect card from the Pipeline. The Lead Ownership section appears when you have active field users. Two pickers:

  • Primary Owner โ€” the rep who owns this lead. Once assigned, this lead appears in their Manager Leads tab on their device. Leave as “Unassigned” and the lead won’t be visible to any field user. The footer prompts: “Assign a rep to make this lead visible in their Manager Leads tab.”
  • Co-Owner โ€” a second rep who shares credit on this lead (optional). Only appears once a primary owner is set. Choose “None” to keep it single-owner

When a co-owner is set, a Co-Owner Split slider appears โ€” drag it to set what percentage of commission goes to the co-owner (10โ€“90%, in 5% steps). The remaining percentage goes to the primary owner. The footer updates to confirm the split: “Commission will be split N% to co-owner / N% to primary owner when closed.”

Digital Business Card and Commission Tracker toggles #

Both features are toggled per field user from their detail sheet in Field Users. Tap the field user’s row, scroll to Card & Sharing, and toggle:

  • Digital Business Card โ€” enables the field user to share a branded digital card with your company info via QR code, AirDrop, text, or NFC
  • Commission Tracker โ€” shows the field user their running commission tally on their device, updated each sync cycle. They only see closed payouts โ€” not pending estimates

After changing either toggle, tap Save Permissions. The footer confirms: “Changes are pushed to the field device on their next pricing refresh.”
