๐Ÿ“‹ Field Mode: Manager Guide

Field users can leave visit notes and take before/after photos while they’re on site. All of it comes back to you when they export their estimate. This article covers where to find notes and photos across the three places they surface.

Field Notes feed โ€” across all field users #

The Field Users screen consolidates notes from all your field users into a single feed. Scroll to the Field Notes (N) disclosure group โ€” the count shows how many notes are waiting. Tap it to expand. Each note shows the field user’s name, the timestamp, a location tag if GPS was captured, and the note text. The feed shows up to 50 notes at a time, newest first.

This feed is useful for a quick daily scan of what your field team reported before you dig into individual jobs or leads.

Field Notes on a prospect card #

Open a prospect from the Pipeline. If a field user visited and left a note linked to this lead, a Field Notes section appears in the prospect detail โ€” below the main notes section. Each row shows the field user’s name, the time they logged the note, a location pin if available, and what they wrote. The footer confirms: “Logged by your field team. Read-only.”

This section is hidden when no field notes exist for this prospect โ€” it appears automatically as soon as one is logged.

Field Notes on a CRM contact #

Open a contact in the CRM. If field users have logged visit notes against this contact, a Field Notes section appears in the contact detail view. Same format as the prospect card โ€” name, time, location, and note text. Read-only from the manager side.

Before and after site photos #

Open a job that was imported from a field estimate. In the job detail view, scroll to the Field Photos section. The footer reads: “Sent by your field team. Tap Before or After to browse.”

Two buttons show the count of photos in each category โ€” Before and After. Tap either button to open the photo browser for that category. Swipe through the photos your field user captured on site.

โ„น๏ธ Note: The Field Photos section only appears on jobs that were imported from a field estimate. It does not appear on jobs created directly in the app. The section is also hidden until at least one photo exists.

Field Time on Site #

Below the photo section, the Field Time on Site section shows Total Hours Logged and the number of Field Workers who clocked time on this job. This data comes from the clock-in/out records your field users submitted.
