Request a Review After a Completed Job

2 min read

Who this is for: Managers  |  Part 2 of 2: โ† Mark a Job Complete and Record Final Payment

๐Ÿ’ผ Why this matters

A client who just had a great experience is your best marketing asset โ€” but only if you ask while the memory is fresh. Most contractors who don’t get reviews aren’t delivering bad work. They’re asking too late, or not asking at all. PriceRight Pro puts the review request one tap from the completed job, at the exact moment when the client is most likely to say yes.

Step 1 โ€” Set up your review links #

Before you can send a review request, PriceRight Pro needs to know where to send clients. Add your review links in Settings โ†’ Review Links. Three platforms are supported:

  • Google โ€” Your Google Business Profile review link. Go to your Google Business Profile, tap “Ask for reviews,” and copy the direct link.
  • Facebook โ€” Your Facebook page review or recommendations link.
  • Yelp โ€” Your Yelp business page link.

You only need to set up the platforms you actually use. Add one or all three โ€” you’ll choose which one to use each time you send a request.

Step 2 โ€” Send the review request #

With the job closed, open the invoice from the job’s Invoices tab. Inside the invoice editor, tap the โ‹ฏ menu button in the top-right corner and select Request Review. A sheet appears with the client’s name pre-filled. Choose the platform โ€” Google, Facebook, or Yelp โ€” and send. The client receives a direct link to your review page on that platform.

The review request is available from any invoice โ€” deposit, progress, or final. The best moment to send it is when the client has just paid and the job is still fresh, so triggering it from the final invoice is the natural habit.

Alternative โ€” Review QR code on your invoice #

If you prefer to let the invoice do the asking, you can include a review QR code directly on the invoice PDF. When the client receives the invoice, they scan the QR code and go straight to your review page.

To add the QR to an invoice: open the invoice in the Invoices tab, tap to edit it, and scroll to the Review Request section. Turn on the Include review QR on PDF toggle, then choose your platform from the Platform picker. The QR code and a clickable link are added to the invoice PDF automatically.

The platform picker only shows platforms you’ve configured in Settings โ†’ Review Links โ€” if no review links are set up yet, the section shows a prompt to add them before the toggle takes effect.

The QR code approach works well for clients who pay electronically and open the invoice PDF on their phone โ€” the scan-to-review path takes about 10 seconds. Use the direct in-app request for clients you interact with in person, and the QR code for remote clients who receive their invoices by email.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Google reviews carry the most weight for most service businesses โ€” they show up in search results, affect your local ranking, and are the first thing potential clients see when they search your business name. If you only set up one platform, make it Google.

๐Ÿš€ Smart Business Tip

Build it into your close-out habit: job done โ†’ final payment recorded โ†’ job marked Complete โ†’ review request sent. The whole sequence takes under five minutes. Done consistently across every job, it compounds: 20 jobs a year with a 50% review rate is 10 new reviews a year. Most of your competitors have fewer than 10 total.
