๐ฅ For: Managers and Crew Members
What’s the difference between the app and the web portal? #
PriceRight Pro is an iOS app โ it runs on iPhone and iPad. The crew web portal runs in any browser and requires no download. Both give crew members access to job details and clock in/out, but they serve different situations:
- App (iOS only) โ for crew members who have an iPhone or iPad and have been given app-level access by the manager. Best for crew members who are also field reps or estimators using the full app
- Web portal (any device) โ for crew members on Android phones, Windows devices, or anyone who doesn’t have the iOS app. No install required. Works on any smartphone browser. This is the standard path for most job site crew
As a manager โ what do I send my crew? #
For web portal crew (Android, Windows, or anyone without the iOS app): add them in Crew Mode โ Crew tab, and share their unique portal link. The link is their login โ they don’t need a password. See Set Up Crew Mode and Add Your First Crew Member for the full setup walkthrough.
For app-based crew (iOS users with full app access): they need to be set up as a Field Mode user with a crew access code. That flow is separate from the web portal setup.
As a crew member โ how do I get started? #
Your manager sends you a link. Tap it to open the portal in your browser. That link is your access โ bookmark it right away. You’ll use it every shift. No password, no PIN, no app download required.
For step-by-step instructions, go to Clock In and Out via the Crew Web Portal.
How many crew members can I add? #
Standard plans support up to 5 active web crew members. Premium plans support unlimited crew. You can see your current count in the Crew tab โ the Active section header shows “Active (N/5)” or “Active (N/โ)” depending on your plan.
What can crew members see and do in the portal? #
Each crew member’s permissions are set individually by the manager. Possible permissions include viewing the job schedule, viewing crew notes, viewing the shot list, clocking in and out, uploading photos, marking tasks complete, and adding notes. A crew member can only see and do what their manager has enabled for their specific link.
Does the portal work on an iPhone? #
Yes. The web portal works on any browser โ Android Chrome, iOS Safari, desktop browsers โ on any device. If a crew member has an iPhone and prefers using a browser over the app, the portal works exactly the same way.
What happens if I revoke a crew member’s link? #
Their link stops working immediately. They’ll see an error when they try to open it. To re-invite them, the manager creates a new crew member record and shares the new link. Their clock history from before the revocation is still visible in the manager’s timesheet view.
A crew member’s link isn’t working โ what do I check? #
Open Crew Mode โ Crew tab and find their record. Confirm their status shows Active (not Revoked). If it shows Revoked, their link has been deactivated โ create a new record and resend. If the status is Active, try tapping their record to open the detail sheet and use the copy button to grab the link and test it yourself. If the link still fails, tap Regenerate Link and share the new one with the crew member.
