Flatwork / Driveway Estimator

2 min read

Vertical: Pressure Washing  ·  Nav: Flatwork Estimator  ·  Entry: SmartScope → PW Tools

The Flatwork Estimator prices driveways, patios, walkways, and other hard surfaces by square footage. It handles the four most common surface types and includes an optional sealant add-on — useful when you’re sealing after the wash.

Open it #

From inside a Pressure Washing estimate, tap the SmartScope button to open SmartScope — PW. Tap Flatwork / Driveway Estimator.

Select surface and enter area #

In the Surface section, pick the surface type: Concrete, Pavers, Stamped Concrete, or Brick. Each surface type has its own default production rate — pavers and stamped concrete typically run slower than plain concrete. Enter the Area in square feet. On Premium, tap the orange map icon to polygon-measure the surface from satellite.

Add a sealant application (optional) #

In Add-Ons, toggle on Sealant / Sealer Application if you’re sealing after the wash. Enter what you pay per square foot for the sealant product — the calculator adds the material cost to your total and includes it as a separate line in the cost breakdown.

Set your costs and read results #

In Your Costs, confirm your production rate in sq ft per hour and your chemical cost per gallon. Tap Set Default to lock in the production rate for future flatwork jobs. Set your crew size and toggle Owner / Operator if applicable.

Job Scope shows the difficulty multiplier applied to labor and chemical, plus sealant material area when the add-on is enabled. What This Job Costs You breaks out labor, chemical, and sealant separately. Charge Preview is a reference estimate at your markup — the footer is clear that it’s for your eyes only.

Insert into the estimate #

Tap Insert into Estimate (or Insert Service + Crew when a labor callback is available). The surface and any sealant add-on insert as priced line items at your cost.
