The Ad Spend button in the Marketing estimate SmartScope toolbar opens two paid media calculators. A dialog titled Paid Media Calculator asks which you need — tap Ad Spend ROI or Media Buy Estimator.
Ad Spend ROI #
Builds a single-platform paid media line item with your agency management fee and an optional ROI reference. In Platform, choose the ad platform — Google Ads, Meta (Facebook / Instagram), TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube Ads, Pinterest Ads, Programmatic / Display, or Custom — and enter a custom platform name if needed. In Budget, enter the monthly ad spend, your agency fee percentage, and an optional setup fee. The agency fee calculates automatically. A summary note confirms the pass-through ad spend amount included in the total.
In ROI Reference — informational only, not included in the estimate — set a target ROAS to show the client’s estimated revenue potential at that return. This doesn’t affect your fee; it’s a reference to include in client presentations. Tap Apply.
Media Buy Estimator #
Allocates a total monthly media budget across multiple platforms and calculates your management fee per platform. Enter the Total monthly spend. Toggle on Same agency fee for all platforms to apply a single fee percentage across all, or leave it off to set a per-platform fee individually. In Platform allocation, toggle on each platform and enter its allocation percentage — allocations should total 100%. Each platform row shows the dollar amount allocated and the management fee for that platform. Tap Apply to push the full media buy breakdown into the estimate.
Use Ad Spend ROI when quoting a single-platform campaign. Use Media Buy Estimator when managing spend across multiple platforms simultaneously.
