๐ For: Field Workers โ Sales Reps and Estimators
๐ Field Mode: Field Worker Guide
- Part 1: Enter Field Mode with Your Access Code
- Part 2: Build and Export a Field Estimate โ You are here
- Part 3: Use Your CRM, Visit Notes, and Reminders in the Field
Start a new estimate #
From the field home screen, tap New Estimate. The estimate builder opens with your manager’s pricing โ their catalog, their trade verticals, their rates. Build the scope the same way you would a normal PriceRight estimate. Add line items, apply quantities, and work through the job details.
Add site photos #
Photos of the site before and after are sent to your manager with the estimate. To add photos, tap Site Photos on an estimate row, or tap the Site Photos button inside the export sheet.
The photo sheet has two tabs โ Before and After โ each showing how many photos have been added. To add a photo, tap Take Photo to use your camera, or Choose from Library to pick one from your photos.
There’s a limit on how many photos you can add per category. When the limit is reached, the add button shows “Limit reached” โ you won’t be able to add more until you delete one. Tap any photo in the grid to see its detail view, where you can add a caption or delete it.
Log expenses and mileage #
Tap Expenses & Mileage from the home screen to open the expense tracker. It has two tabs: Expenses and Mileage. Everything you log here is sent to your manager automatically when you export your next estimate.
Log an expense #
On the Expenses tab, tap Log an Expense. Fill in the Expense Details: select the date, pick a category, enter the amount, and add a description. You can also attach a photo of the receipt. Tap Save. The expense appears in your Entries list and rolls up into the Total Logged summary.
Log a trip #
On the Mileage tab, tap Log a Trip. Fill in the Trip Details: select the date, enter the starting point (From โ optional), the destination (To โ optional), and the miles driven. Tap Save. The trip appears in your Trips list. The Total Miles and estimated reimbursement update automatically.
Export the estimate #
When the estimate is ready, tap Export Estimate on the estimate row. The Export Estimate sheet opens with one instruction: “Send this file to your manager. They’ll import it into PriceRight to create a job on their device.”
Tap Send to [business name]. The iOS share sheet opens โ choose AirDrop if your manager is nearby, or send via Messages or email. AirDrop is the fastest and most reliable method. When the export is large, a yellow banner appears: “Large export โ recommended via AirDrop or Files.” Use AirDrop or save to Files and share from there.
When the send succeeds, the sheet shows: Estimate Sent! and “Your manager will receive the file to import into PriceRight.” On future opens of the export sheet, the date of the last send is shown: “Previously sent [date].”
Set a follow-up reminder #
After a successful export, the app asks: “Set a follow-up reminder?” This is a reminder to follow up with the client about the estimate. Tap the Remind me in picker and choose: Tomorrow, 2 Days, 3 Days, 1 Week, or Custom Date. Tap Set Reminder. The app confirms “Reminder set.” and the reminder appears in your Follow-Up Reminders. Tap No thanks to skip.
