Who this is for: Managers | Vertical: General Business
๐ผ What makes this vertical different
General Business is the catch-all vertical for service businesses that don’t fit a specific trade โ consultants, SaaS operators, service companies, B2B providers. The estimate builder offers four input modes: flat project price, hourly services, overhead recovery, and packages. Use the combination that fits how you charge.
Price Builder #
The Price Builder section is for flat project pricing โ a fixed fee for a defined scope. Enter the project price and a description. Use this section when you’re quoting a flat rate for the whole engagement rather than itemizing by hours or components.
Hourly Services #
The Hourly Services section is for time-and-rate pricing. Add each service type you’re billing by the hour โ consulting, implementation, support โ with its own rate and estimated hours. The section calculates a subtotal across all hourly lines. Use this alongside Price Builder if a project has both flat and hourly components.
Overhead Recovery #
The Overhead Recovery section lets you pass through business costs that belong to this engagement โ software subscriptions, platform fees, account setup costs, or any recurring cost this client is responsible for. These are added as named line items so the client sees exactly what they’re paying for.
Packages #
The Packages section pulls in tiered service bundles from your Package Builder. If you’ve built Good/Better/Best tiers or service bundle options, they appear here and can be selected for this estimate. Packages make it easy to offer the client structured options without rebuilding the pricing from scratch each time.
From Catalog #
The From Catalog section lets you pull pre-priced items from your Service Catalog, Product Catalog, or Package Builder โ tap Add from Services, Products or Packages to open the picker.
Pricing Controls and summary #
The Pricing Controls, Sales Commission, Payment Schedule, and Estimate Summary sections follow the same structure as the standard estimate builder. See Add Costs, Allocation, and Markup to Your Estimate for a full walkthrough. Tap the document icon (orange, top-right toolbar) to preview and share the PDF.
