๐Ÿ“‹ Digital Business Card โ€” 2-Part Guide

๐Ÿ’ผ Why this matters

Paper business cards get lost in a coat pocket, sit in a pile on someone’s desk, and eventually get thrown out. A digital card gets scanned and saved to Contacts in ten seconds โ€” and the QR code on your home screen means you’re never caught without one. Every networking event, every job site walkthrough, every chance conversation becomes a contact exchange that actually sticks.

Step 1 โ€” Open My Business Card #

From the home screen, tap the My Business Card card โ€” the teal creditcard icon labeled “Share your card via QR, AirDrop, text or NFC.” Your digital business card opens.

Step 2 โ€” Edit your card #

Tap Edit in the top-right corner. The Edit My Card screen opens with three sections.

Photo โ€” Tap the headshot circle or the Change Photo button. A menu appears with three options: Take Photo, Choose from Library, or Remove Photo (shown only when a photo is already set). Photos are cropped to a circle after you select them. If no photo is set, your initials appear in the circle instead.

Your Name & Title โ€” Enter your Full name and your Title (e.g. Owner, President, Lead Estimator โ€” whatever you’d put on a printed card).

Contact โ€” Enter your Cell phone and Email. These are your personal contact details for the card โ€” separate from your business’s general contact info. Leave either field blank if you don’t want it on the card.

Tap Save when done. Your card updates immediately.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Your card pulls your company name, logo, and branding colors from your business profile automatically โ€” you only need to fill in the personal layer (your name, title, photo, and direct contact details). Keep your setup in Settings โ†’ Branding current and your card stays current too.

Step 3 โ€” Share your card #

Four share options appear as buttons below your card. Use whichever fits the situation.

  • QR Code โ€” Opens a full-screen QR code the other person scans with their phone camera. Fastest option when you’re standing in front of someone. They scan, their phone offers to save you to Contacts, done.
  • AirDrop โ€” Sends the card wirelessly to a nearby iPhone. The recipient sees an “Add to Contacts” prompt. No scanning required โ€” useful when the other person’s phone is already out.
  • Text โ€” Opens a pre-filled text message with your contact details and a .vcf attachment. The recipient taps the attachment and your card saves directly to their Contacts app. Best for following up after a conversation โ€” send it the moment you leave.
  • NFC โ€” Writes your card to an NFC tag or transfers directly to another phone via tap. Not available on all devices.

Add the widget to your home screen #

The My Business Card widget puts your QR code on your iPhone home screen so it’s available instantly โ€” no opening the app, no navigating. Two sizes are available:

  • Small โ€” QR code fills the widget with your name below it. One tap opens your full card.
  • Medium โ€” QR code on the left, your name, title, and company on the right with a “Tap to share” label. More context, same one-tap access.

To add the widget: Long-press on your iPhone home screen to enter jiggle mode, tap the + button in the top-left corner, search for PriceRight Pro, and choose the widget size you want. The widget refreshes every four hours and whenever you update your card in the app.

โ„น๏ธ Note: The widget displays your QR code even when the app is closed. Tapping it opens your full digital card in PriceRight Pro. The widget uses the same card details you set up in the Edit My Card screen โ€” keep those current and the widget stays current.

โœ… You’re done with Part 1.

Your card is set up, your sharing options are ready, and your QR code is on your home screen.

Have field workers or sales reps? Send them Part 2 โ€” it covers how they set up and share their own digital business card from within Field Mode. Set Up and Share Your Digital Business Card as a Field Worker โ†’
