๐ผ Why this matters
Sending a PDF and waiting is how contractors lose jobs. The client gets busy, a competitor follows up, the moment passes. Stage 5 is about closing the gap between “I’ll think about it” and a signed agreement โ with a deposit in hand. PriceRight Pro gives you two ways to do that: in person at the table, or remotely on their phone. Either way, the client signs, the invoice generates, and the job is won โ without chasing anyone down.
Stage 5 is the conversion stage โ where an estimate becomes a commitment. Everything you built in Stages 1 through 4 has been leading to this moment. The estimate is priced correctly. It looks professional. Now you need to present it, get a signature, and collect a deposit before anyone changes their mind.
PriceRight Pro gives you two conversion paths depending on how you work: in-person presentation with on-the-spot signing, or a remote approval link the client signs from any browser on their own time. Both paths end in the same place โ a signed contract, an auto-generated invoice, and a job marked as won.
Path 1 โ In-person with Client Mode #
Client Mode transforms your estimate into a full-screen presentation designed to be handed to a client. The markup math disappears. What’s left is a clean, branded view of the scope, the line items, and the total โ exactly what they need to see and nothing they shouldn’t.
During the presentation, the client can browse your add-on options and select any they want included. Everything they choose is added to the estimate before they sign. When they’re ready, they sign directly on your screen with their finger. The signature is captured, timestamped, and saved to the Signed Contracts archive. No paper. No printer. No chasing a PDF attachment through email.
Once signed, PriceRight Pro does three things automatically: it creates an invoice from the approved estimate, it marks the job as Won, and it sends an approval confirmation to both you and the client. The Presentation Session Lock keeps the app in Client Mode while you hand over the phone โ so the client can’t accidentally navigate away mid-presentation.
Path 2 โ Remote approval #
Not every client is in front of you when they’re ready to decide. For remote clients, or any time you want to give someone space to review and sign on their own schedule, you send a web-based approval link. They tap it on their phone, laptop, or tablet, review the estimate, and sign โ no app download, no account, no friction.
When they sign, you get a push notification immediately. The same automatic chain fires: invoice generated, job marked as Won, confirmation emails sent to both parties. The signed contract is archived just like an in-person signature.
What happens after the signature #
Regardless of which path the client uses, the outcome is the same. The signed PDF is stored in your Signed Contracts archive โ accessible from the job detail and from a master contracts list across all jobs. The invoice is created and ready to send. The deposit collection is the next step: send the Stripe payment link from the invoice, or collect payment in person before you leave the room.
The job is now in Stage 6. That’s covered in the next part of this guide.
๐ฑ In Your Day: You finish the walkthrough, pull up Client Mode on the spot, the client picks two add-ons and signs before you leave the driveway, and the invoice is already waiting in your email when you get back to the truck. Full scenario โ
๐ Smart Business Tip
The deposit isn’t just about cash flow โ it’s a commitment signal. A client who hasn’t paid anything can still walk. A client who has paid a deposit almost never does. Use the Stripe payment link on the auto-generated invoice to collect the deposit the same day as the signature, while the agreement is still fresh and the momentum is still there.
